Sedation

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide or “Laughing Gas” is a gas which you can breathe to help reduce anxiety.  Using nitrous oxide, we can change the depth of sedation to help you relax.  After using nitrous oxide, we flush your system with oxygen.  It leaves your system quickly and you will be able to drive after your procedure.

Oral Sedation

In some circumstances, we may utilize oral sedation in combination with nitrous oxide.  Oral sedation involves taking a sedative pill before your appointment.  Because oral sedation can temporarily affect your cognitive and motor skills, you will need a friend or family member to drive you to your procedure.
